My whole experience, from beginning to end, was fairly quick and easy, to say the least. For a first time home buyer, at 50, I was blessed to have an entire team of friendly folks all willing to help out and guide me through the process. I'll definitely be recommending Veterans United to a few people I know who are looking to buy a home. What a God Send!
We are very pleased with our experience with Veterans United Home Loans. Mr.Dyer and his whole team was awesome during the whole process.
From the beginning, when we first purchased our home, until the end, when we finished refinancing our home, Veterans United has been amazing to work with. They kept us informed, helped us through every step, and made everything as smooth as butter. I would recommend Veterans United to any Veteran in the market for purchasing or refinancing a home. We could not have asked for a better company to work with!
This was the best home buying experience I have had out of six past home purchases. I would highly recommend Veterans United to anyone!
Very professional, and made the loan process streamline.
Was very easy to get in contact with everyone I needed along the way, very helpful, understanding and human staff to talk to. Over all 10/10 experience.

Experience first-hand why 356,984 homeowners give us a perfect score!
The entire team was great. Just all around, professional, responsive, and astute. This was one of the best decisions I ever made, going with VU and the team. Thank you all. A+ all around.
Ryan and his team were a pleasure to work with!
Excellent service by Ty and his team! I was impressed.
If I could give you a zero or less I would have. The inconsistency, lack of communication, lack of compassion, inability to provide me with answers, and that’s just what I can think of right now. I am actually appalled at how bad the experience went like quite possibly the worst experience I have ever had in my entire life with any company let alone with a company that deals in home loans. I would go with any other company out there, Joe’s home loans down the road would probably be a better option. I asked on multiple occasions for policy paperwork and never got it, promised my full escrow returned to me, got 1/3 of it and took another month to get the rest. Stay away from this company.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Daniel,
I’m truly sorry for how upsetting this experience was. Reading your feedback, it’s clear you felt ignored, unsupported, and left without answers when you needed them most, and that’s incredibly disappointing to hear. A home loan is a major life event, and you deserved clear communication, compassion, and follow-through.
I understand your frustration around not receiving requested policy information and the delay in receiving the full escrow refund. Situations like that can understandably erode trust, especially when expectations aren’t clearly explained or met. While I can’t address specifics publicly, I do want to make sure your concerns are fully reviewed.
If you’re open to it, I’d appreciate the chance for our Client Advocate team to look into what happened and better understand where we fell short. You can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time. Messages outside those hours are typically returned the next business day.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
Veterans United provided an amazing house purchasing experience. Great communication and quick responses to all my questions. I will definitely use them in the future.
The team I worked with was hands-down, the best. When it got down to the last couple of days, I have never felt more at ease spending a half million dollars. Clint Dunlap called the day before closing just to make sure I understood everything that was going on. It was great.
