My wife and I were notified by our landlords that they were selling the property that we were renting from them and given 6 months to move. We hit the ground running the next day and started researching our options with our VA benifits. I believe VU poped up via algorythm in my web search for VA home loan options. I reviewed their website, customer reviews, and checked all the boxes to determine if they would be a good fit. Long story short, ONE MONTH after we started our search VU had us closing on a solid house. More day to day updates would be helpful but my over all experience was very good , my loan team worked hard and was available to me. I was treated respectfully and fairly. As stressful as buying a new home is they made the experience easier and assured me that all was moving forward.
My experience with Veterans United was a very positive. Initially, my credit score was a few points shy to be preaqualified. However, the Veterans United Staff kept me from being discouraged and explained that there were reaources in place (Lighthouse Program) to assist in getting my credit score needed for pre qualification and preapproval. My credit specialist Scott was very knowledgeable and put together a strategic plan for me to stick to in order to get the desired results. I took about two months to get where I needed to be but we made it.
Aggravating at times and stressful but when it was done .. it was worth it. Thank you all for helping me in this process..
