More digital stuff to deal with than I would have liked. Analog old guy.

Excellent.

It had been many years since applying for a home loan but just wanted funds for a garage/shop, and I had been seeing the VU ads and figured I'd give them a try, I think the entire process took about a month and it seemed fairly seamless. At the end I liked that the notary would come to you or meet wherever.

Everything went great except up to the last minute. When there was a computer problem, but they managed to work around it. Thank you very much for such a wonderful experience on purchasing my new home.

They helped me all the way, they walk me through all the steps and help me close earlier than expected. It was great working with them.

I’ve never seen such a well run company with such support. If you have a question the staff answer it right away! The people are so polite and knowledgeable it’s just a fantastic process.

I have never bought a house before but this was literally the best, smoothest, easiest process ever.

They made the refinance go smooth and painless.

The staff at veterans united were very helpful and did the best they could with most of our circumstances. Our listing agent who helped sell our home and buy our new home definitely had a few slip ups 1) being that the things that were verbally agreed upon during our walk through of the home did not get written into our contract which having to purchase new equipment that was verbally agreed would come with the home definitely set us back. And due to the urgency of rushing our signing and closing we were not permitted a final walk through of the home prior to moving in which to say it kindly left us in a bit of a shock, the skirting of the house was broken and torn in several places, a heard of feral cats had made their home under the house and had completely destroyed the insulation and caused a very fowl odor to linger throughout many parts of the house (strong smell of cat urine and old unchanged litter box) pieces of the trim were torn or broke entirely, there was a large gauge in the floor, the master bathroom door is missing, one of the windows in the guest bedroom is broken. And my wife has had to vigorously scrub and clean for several days because the previous owners did not bother to clean anything, and had left multiple piles of discarded metal and wood scraps. Veterans united were unable to provide a moving service in our area due to the rual location and the company we were able to secure originally quoted us $3000 to move everything 88miles and then before pickup jacked the price to more than double and due to their company policy were not able to keep our belongings held for the 3 days from pick up to delivery so instead of taking our belongings from house A and transporting it to house B they literally just returned our belongings to house A and crudely dumped them into the shop so we ultimately ended up having to pay for a moving service we were never provided and had to move all of our belongings by ourselves using a friends horse trailer in multiple trips after closing. Veterans united were very apologetic about the misfortunes we endured however did not offer any kind of compensation or retribution for all of the hardships. I am thankful that they were able to get our loan approved when we honestly didn’t think we had a prayer so cutos to their loan team for getting us approved with no down payment necessary. So in being as fair and honest as I can be an 8/10 is the best I can honestly and genuinely give.

Listen. If you are serious about owning a home, Veterans United is definitely a preferred option, in my opinion. The steps it took to purchasing our home was frustrating to say the least. In my wife and I case, we were purchasing from our landlord, so a realtor wasn't necessary. However, gathering the necessary documents, coordinating with the different agencies like appraisals, home inspections, insurance, title company, and loads of paperwork, signatures, and questions are still very much a part of the process. Our team, Nick Holman, Courtney Gully, Francie Greene, and the rest of their supporting members were there from the first phone until the closing on our home. They fielded every question, listened to all of our frustration, guided us through the whole process step by step, and we're encouraging, patient, professional, and, most of all, very polite, friendly, and engaging whenever we were in contact with them. I mean they kept in touch by phone, text, and email. Even sent us mail. Who does that in this technology age? Seriously, they were the best team my wife and I could ask for in communicating with us and our landlord to make this dream a reality!! I highly recommend Veterans United to anyone who’s reading this review, or anyone who asks is this company for real. To our team, Nick Holman, Courney Gully, Francie Greene, and their supporting team members, thank you for everything! We can't say thank you enough. My wife, Valencia Long, and I now own our home!!!
